If Sauron/Saruman had a major ability in that regard their armies would be running around in mithril armor since orcs have taken the only mine for that in middle earth (as faar as I am aware) Heck, even if what you say is true, that still doesnВґt acount for the god damn tanks and extremly long range catapults the fire nation deploys. Or am I mistaken here OP?ДЄlso, 3 soldiers for 1 firebender? Really? Aside from the fact that they will have nonbenders between them and the enemy once they realise those guys have no benders? You think fully trained and armored war veterans who can shoot fireballs out of their fists can only take on 3 normal guys charging them? That doesnВґt mean that shit like the yuyan archers or ty lee suddenly get downgraded. Untrained fire nation citizens are considered normal human. Sauron, who Tolkien stated to be stronger than Morgoth by the end of the First age, could surely block it out for some period of time. Sauron may even be able to cause an eclipse, taking away the Fire nationвЂ™s bending.ДЄfter all, Morgoth, despite the dissemation of his power, was able to rape the sun, marring it for all time. The Maiar powers of Sauron and Saruman would hard counter the machenary of the fire nation, and that is if they, as former Maiar of Aule, couldnвЂ™t simply replicate it for their own use.

Sauron has 8 of those, plus the more powerful witch king.

Obviously, the truly skilled firebenders, along the lines of Azula and Ozai, would be much stronger, but, at most, each of them would be the equal of one Nazgul. Without the power of the comet, each firebender would be the equal of perhaps 3 ordinary gondorian soldiers, and that is with a generous interpretation of their feats. These same girls would be demolished by a single Uruk-ai (considering that, by OP fiat, fire nation citizens/soldiers are equivilant to IRL humans.) Militarily, the average fire bender isnвЂ™t exactly impressive.ДЄfter all, two teenage girls, whose only claims to fame are being good at gymnastics and throwing knives, are the equal of pretty much any one of the fire nationвЂ™s soldiers. I donвЂ™t see how the fire nation can win here.
